Description of function
The Lead Electrical Technician is responsible for the day-to-day supervision, planning and delivery of maintenance activities, replacement and repair of the control and instrumentation equipment at the Facility. This role will also provide overall support to other disciplines as necessary using experience and skills. Assisting in the co-ordination and management of contracts and contractors as required, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment, the Lead Electrical Technician will be responsible for supporting outage planning and management of site projects, whilst driving health and safety culture and ensuring the efficient running of the site
Responsible for: Electrical Technician, Control & Instrumentation Technician and Apprentices.

CAPABILITY PROFILE; KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Essential KE1: Understanding of Environmental and H&S issues and their impacts, training will be given. KE2: Knowledge of repair methods of Electrical equipment. KE3: Knowledge of Preventative Maintenance and work management Systems. KE4: Knowledge of the creation of detailed scopes of work / Engineering Specifications ready to be sent out to tender Desirable SD1: Knowledge of Management of Change process SD2: Management of HV equipment

Essential EE1: Experience in electrical engineering of process industry or power plants EE3: Rotating electrical equipment, drives and switchgear experience. Desirable ED1: Experience in working with Safe Systems of Work (PTW), Training will be given. ED2: Experience in cost management. ED3: Experience in working within the energy from waste industry |
Essential QE1: Possess appropriate technical qualifications City & Guilds / NVQ (or equivalent) including recognised trade specific apprenticeship Desirable QD1: Formal H&S qualifications QD4: Hold a position of Senior Authorised Person (SAP) or Prime Duty Holder and qualified to work on both LV & HV electrical systems |
